Pumpkins!

Our Pumpkin Investigations have been really exciting and a little messy!
I hope everyone enjoyed the pumpkin seeds I sent home.
The kids worked really hard to get them out of the pumpkins.

We started our week with a talk about the outside of the pumpkin, and we moved on to the inside of a pumpkin. He are our observations and predictions about pumpkins.

We got a certificate for participating in Take Me Outside 2019!
It was cold but we still went outside!
Counted all the doors in the school and had a chance to play in the leaves!

Fall Activities.

I love Fall and all the wonderful colours that come with it.
Take a look at the school alter.

For a short week the students were very busy.

Thank-you to everyone that sent in leaves for our Leaf Man.
The students had a great time putting him together.

As a class we are working on using straight and curved lines to create
letters and drawings of men.
You may have heard the students singing the Mat Man song.
It really gets stuck in your head.

🎵Mat Man has one Head one head one head
Mat Man has one head so that he can think!🎵

Here is a link to the song and how to build Mat Man.

This is the Mat Man that we created together as a class.
Our next step is to have the class draw the lines and create
Mat Man on paper. This may be homework in the upcoming
day so when you see it you know what I am asking of the students to do.

Our Sorting Unit is coming to a close.
We have practiced sorting by colour Shape and Size.
Here are some pictures of sorting by shape.

I was able to snap some pictures of the students during Free Play.
I love all the smiles I get at this time day.
