Parts of a Story.

 With "The Mitten" the students have began to study the parts of a story.

We started with the Characters of the story and the student brought home their puppets 

We made simple puppets with Popsicle sticks, tape, and pictures.  

We will begin to look at the setting of a story more closing in the next week. 

Working on letter W on a Wednesday was wicked timing.

Our BFG activity on Friday was to create a mobile that included people that we love and people that love us!
I told the student they could have it on their door. 

It was so nice this week we had students sun tanning at recess! ;)

Cold Cold Week!

What a cold week! We did not get outside this week at all but we kept really busy with reading, building, dancing, and doing yoga in the classroom.

Happy New Year!

Welcome Back and Happy New Year! We made awesome party hats to celebrate the new year.

Who says you can't play with your food? 

We ate the patterns we made. Fruit Loop Cereal is one of my favorites. 

We also used Bingo dabbers to make patterns.  

Angelina built a number 6 using a Pattern! Awesome.


In Gym we have been working on our passing and throwing.
I got some action photos last time we were in the gym.

We have created our first classroom book. 

In this book the students all talked about "if they were a snowflake" and how they would fall. 

It is in our classroom library and the students can read it at any time.
