Christmas Concert

December 12 was our Christmas Concert and the students did an awesome job singing and dancing to The Happiest Christmas Tree. Thank-you to those parents who came out and celebrated with us.
We all got a cupcake treat after our big performance.

Waiting for our turn.

Still waiting for our turn.

The stage looked so nice! Those are our Happiest Christmas Trees on the top of the stage.

We love cupcakes.

Whole school Joy to the world.

Practice in the  morning for the whole school song.

This week we continued to work with patterns in Math
but we brought back some size and colour sorting with gingerbread men.

We are really enjoying all the fun Christmas books that are in our Advent School Basket. The star of the day gets to unwrap the book and we all enjoy the story together.

Our Grade 1 and Grade 2/3 Classes ran our Advent Celebration on Monday. The students did an awesome job in the gym listening.

This Nativity set is in our classroom and the students have been acting out this bible story with the pieces.

This nativity set is in our lobby. You will be able to see it when you come for the Christmas concert on Thursday.

The students loved visiting the Book Fair!

We wrote letters to Santa with our Buddies and had computer class in our classroom this week with our Buddies. We are really getting to know our Grade 6 buddies well.

Alphabet, Patterns, and the beginning of Advent.

Our Math and Literacy Centers have focused around Patterns and the Alphabet this week.

Our Buddies helped us do some Alphabet exercises in the gym! Each letter had a animal with some fun exercise attached. My favourite was the W - Wolf.

Howl like a wolf while high-fiving people for 10 seconds. It was pretty loud in the gym!

We have been working so hard on our Alphabet book page by page that this was the first time that we sat and actually looked at what we had created. The students loved sharing their crafts with their classmates. Everyone's creations are a little different.

Very cold days means indoor recess. Thank goodness for our Grade 6 helpers! They have been playing Alphabet BINGO and making paper airplanes with the students.

Our Advent Art Project was a hit!
It was a little messy but the students did a fantastic job working with the paper.
We will have them up on display for the Christmas Concert.

We had a fun Friday celebrating my birthday.
The students had to guess my age and we got some amazing guesses!
I am not 3 and I am not 83. I am somewhere in the middle.
We had ice cream pattern scoops, numbered balloons around the classroom
and of course cupcakes.
